NEXT COURSE 18 & 19 June 2012 - Mental Health First Aid is the initial help given to someone experiencing a mental health problem before seeking professional help. This course will help participants understand the signs and symptoms of mental health problems and where and how to get help. Participants will learn how to help others with mental health problems before a crisis develops.

Participants will receive
knowledge and practical skills in dealing with crisis situations where a person:
- is feeling suicidal
- is having a panic attack
- has recently experienced a traumatic event
- presents with psychosis and may appear threatening
- has overdosed
